How It Works
The proceeds of this program are split 50/50 between the Boy Scouts and the North Colorado Springs Rotary Club Foundation (NCSRCF), a 501(c) (3), tax-exempt public charity. The NCSRCF utilizes the funds from this program to support its humanitarian projects that address the issues of education
and poverty for those in need in our community. Scouts use the money for camping equipment, or other expenses related to their troop activities.
1 Year - $45
2 Years - $75
Origins
How the Symbol of Freedom Flag Program Began
In 2003, morale was low after terrorist attacks and conflict in the Middle East. The North Colorado Springs Rotary Club Foundation was a new initiative in Colorado Springs and sought a way to promote patriotism and honor our country. The flag program was born out of a desire to foster connectedness with the American spirit and pride for the people of Colorado Springs.
